HackerOne Appoints Mahesh Chukkapali as Chief Operating Officer
Former Palo Alto Networks and Google Executive Will Drive Cross-Functional Business Operations and Strategy
SAN FRANCISCO, November 9, 2022: HackerOne, the leader in Attack Resistance Management (ARM), today announced the appointment of Mahesh Chukkapali as Chief Operating Officer. Chukkapali brings his experience growing sales and platform operations for leading technology brands to evolve HackerOne’s platform into a multi-product offering that addresses customer security needs across the software development lifecycle.
“HackerOne takes a unique approach to close the attack resistance gap by unlocking value from ethical hackers, pentesters, and code reviewers,” said Chukkapali. “Attack surfaces are growing due to accelerated digitization, cloud migration, remote work, and adoption of Software-as-a-Service environments. I’m excited to transform HackerOne’s human-focused offerings into a sophisticated multi-product platform that supports all aspects of business transformation.”
Chukkapali will support HackerOne’s shift towards a multi-product suite of solutions to address customer needs from code review to continuous vulnerability testing. He has experience launching new security services that transformed Palo Alto Networks from a single product into a security platform that caters to customers' needs across network security, cloud security, and SOC security. Before Palo Alto Networks, Chukkapali spent 12 years in leadership roles across Google Cloud and Google Advertising Services, where he managed the strategy of complex product portfolios.
“Mahesh’s proven delivery will help HackerOne continue to anticipate the expanding needs of our enterprise customers,” said HackerOne CEO Marten Mickos. “He has an exemplary track record leading platform strategy for digital services and cybersecurity brands, which will make his skillset an exceptionally strong addition to our growing leadership team.”
Chukkapali will work with cross-functional leaders across Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales to ensure organizational alignment as HackerOne matures. He will lead business-critical initiatives, including developing new products and services to serve enterprise customers better.
