Children learn by doing and observing, and rather than gadgets, devices, and material things, parents can do so much more for them by fostering an environment where they can learn about, grow from and explore the world around them.

Some of the most incredible learning experiences and adventures are picked up during travel. There are dozens of benefits for children and families in general.

Here’s why the greatest gift any parent can give their child is a life of travel:

1. TRAVEL TEACHES YOU A LOT ABOUT THE WORLD

The greatest teacher in the world is experience. You can read about all the incredible things in the world, you can learn all about lions and wildebeests from books and documentaries, but absolutely nothing compares to seeing all this up close.

Travel gives kids a chance to learn about the realities of the world by engaging directly with them, having fun, and connecting with people and places in a new way.

2. THERE ARE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADVENTURE

Travel also brings with it an opportunity for adventure. It gives you a chance to do the things you wouldn’t be able to otherwise, from visiting certain places to participating in all kinds of activities to eating a wide range of cuisines, adventure awaits at every corner. It helps kids step out of their comfort zones and familiar settings and pushes them to be more adaptable, responsible, and bolder. They learn to rough it out and get by without technology, luxury, and the familiar cocoon they know as home.

In the long run, this makes them successful, stable, happy adults and keeps their worldview flexible. After all, being exposed to so many cultures, practices, places, and opportunities changes people.

3. TRAVEL ALLOWS CHILDREN TO OVERCOME FEAR

Fear is the biggest hindrance to achieving our dreams and what makes kids so resilient is their ability to bounce back. Travel really helps kids overcome fear and anxiety, and be as brave as they can be. Whether that’s seeing wildlife up close or swimming at the beach, travel gives them a fun, comfortable, and secure way to be brave.

4. IT HELPS KIDS BE MORE CREATIVE AND THINK FREELY

We’ve talked about how travel frees your mind and makes you adaptable. But what is also does is teach you to be more creative and think outside the box. With unlimited exposure comes unlimited freedom and kids are able to look at the world with a new perspective. The best thing parents can do is encourage their kids to think, be creative, and be freer.

Are You A Beach or Mountain Person? Here’s How to Get the Best of Both in Tanzania https://nakujaexpeditions.com/are-you-a-beach-or-mountain-person-heres-how-to-get-the-best-of-both-in-tanzania/ https://nakujaexpeditions.com/are-you-a-beach-or-mountain-person-heres-how-to-get-the-best-of-both-in-tanzania/#respond Sun, 27 Mar 2022 13:37:20 +0000 https://nakujaexpeditions.com/?p=3033

Tanzania is an incredible country, with so much to do, explore and do. It doesn’t matter if you’re someone who prefers the beach or the mountains—you can explore both when you visit!

With the incredible opportunities to travel, go on adventures, and immerse yourself in the local culture, here’s what you need to know about traveling to Tanzania:

IS IT POSSIBLE TO EXPLORE BOTH MOUNTAINS AND BEACHES ON THE SAME TRIP?

While it’s not impossible to visit both islands and mountain ranges on the same trip, it’s not ideal. You won’t really get to fully enjoy or explore either since you’ll be rushing through the Serengeti and missing out on different sites, landscapes, and a lot of wildlife, and if you start at the beach, it’ll be harder to relax completely.

We recommend choosing two separate tours, for instance, the Whiskey Route-Machame Route tour or Lemosho Route for mountains, and one of our trips to Zanzibar or other beaches in the region. This way, you get the most time in each destination and have a chance to explore and enjoy your time there fully.

WHAT IS THE BEST MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE DURING A TRIP TO TANZANIA?

Mount Kilimanjaro is one of the most incredible natural wonders of the world. This free-standing mountain is snow-capped all year long, it’s a magnificent climb that is also safe enough for anyone with or without prior experience, and there’s a lot of scenery and wildlife you get to see. You can take the routes mentioned above, i.e. Lemocho or Machame, or get in touch with us for other potential routes and trips.

WHICH BEACHES ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FOR THE PERFECT ISLAND VACATION?

Zanzibar has the most incredible beaches and island views you’ll ever see in your life. It’s the ultimate vacation destination with crystal clear, bright blue water and the most beautiful, sandy, white beaches, a vibrant local culture, incredible food, and various activities. Here are some things that you should know about before you reach the gorgeous island.

We’ll plan out your itinerary depending on the type of beach vacation you’re looking for. We offer family travel plans and honeymoon packages so you can choose which one is right for you!

Tanzania is an incredibly beautiful location and the perfect travel destination for anyone looking for an island escape or a mountain adventure. You can check out our Zanzibar Beach Holiday Packages or family safaris in Tanzania, including hikes and explorations of the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro as you soak in the sun, move through different terrains, and spot incredible wildlife. Amazing Sights to See When Climbing Kilimanjaro https://nakujaexpeditions.com/amazing-sights-to-see-when-climbing-kilimanjaro/ https://nakujaexpeditions.com/amazing-sights-to-see-when-climbing-kilimanjaro/#respond Mon, 04 Oct 2021 13:45:11 +0000 https://nakujaexpeditions.com/?p=1231

Mount Kilimanjaro is one of the most popular places in the world. Tanzania is famously known as the highest peak in Africa and the world’s largest free-standing mountain. The volcano is made up of three cones, Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira.

Mawenzi and Shira are extinct, which means they haven’t erupted, but Kibo is dormant and can erupt again. It’s safe to trek and climb here since the most recent volcanic activity in this region was around 2 centuries ago. The last major eruption of the Kilimanjaro was over 360,000 years ago.

Mount Kilimanjaro is a sought-after volcano to climb. Every year many tourists and thrill-seekers book hiking and trekking tours of the mountain.

Here are some amazing sights you can expect to see when climbing Kilimanjaro:

THE LUSH RAINFORESTColobus monkey in Tanzania’s rainforest

While there are many routes to climb the Kilimanjaro, they all begin in the lush rainforest below. This rainforest receives 80 inches of rain every year and its wettest months are April and May. You get to witness an amazing forest and the life within it just before your climb is about to begin.

COLOBUS MONKEYS

The colobus monkey is known for its stunning black fur and white mantle, bushy tail, whiskers, and a unique beard around the face. These monkeys are considered an endangered species since they’re primarily found in Africa and have been exterminated in some areas. Once hunted for its unique fur, their name is derived from a Greek word that refers to the stumps on their hands, instead of thumbs that other monkeys possess.

DENDROSENECIO KILIMANJARI PLANTS

This rare flora species have especially evolved and adapted to the unpredictable weather at Kilimanjaro. These species of plants and trees can only be found here and they thrive regardless of the weather.
